She is delighted when she is tasked with importance, and often dislikes when someone calls her simple or sweet. She disliked the fact that her ideas were often less listened to than her friends' ideas, and in The Brightest Night, she wanted to stop Fierceteeth's group on her own partially to prove that she was competent. She would never hurt or betray anyone: sentiments that sometimes make others doubt her judgement and intelligence. Externally, it did not seem as though Sunny ever had negative thoughts she did what she was told, and happily. She believes herself to be 'brave all the time.' She does not like killing dragons, even when they harm her. She does not memorize facts with ease, and is often seen by other dragons as cute, sweet, simple, and lovable. She believed that she and her friends would make it through anything bad that happened to them, because they had to survive to fulfill the prophecy. She dislikes when her friends argue, and she is passionate and disapproving of violence, with a soul like a blaze of warm sunlight. Sunny often attempts to be stern, but she is easy-to-laugh, sympathetic, optimistic, reassuring, unambitious, agreeable, excitable, and wants to believe the best in every dragon. She also has a perpetually cheerful expression. Her voice sometimes squeaks and has a cheerful lilt to it. According to Darkstalker, her eyes are the same shape as Whiteout's. Even standing on her hind legs, she was less than half of Kestrel's height, and she is the smallest of the dragonets of destiny. She is very small, smaller than Qibli and Winter, and not much larger than Kinkajou and Moonwatcher. Despite having scales that radiate warmth, her tail lacks the venomous barb of typical SandWings and instead curls to an ordinary point. She has golden wings, talons, and ears, a small head, snout, and claws, and moss-colored, gray-green eyes. Sunny has tawny, unusually bright golden-yellow scales for a SandWing that have been described to look like rippled sunshine.
